Very adhesive and very easy to cut with household shears. Roll alkali resistant self adhesive. Cut drywall to fill in between the existing wall or ceiling and the cement board. Push the mortar through the mesh tape and into the 1 8 inch space between the backer board and the drywall. Qep 2 inch x 150 foot cement board drywall tape 99605q is perfect for my cement board project. Gray cement board tape 2 in. Screw the drywall to the studs. Mix more thin set mortar and cover the taped joints with a thin layer using a drywall knife similar to mudding drywall joints.

Cover all of the corners joints and seams including the joint where drywall and cement board meet with the fiberglass mesh tape.
