When the saddle is in place restore the door jamb adding calk so that it fits nicely.

Drive a new 3 16 by 1 inch concrete anchor into each of the holes with a hammer. Lay a bead of caulk along what will be the back edge of the threshold. The aluminum door threshold should sit level on the sill and join to it with a waterproof flexible and adhesive sealant polyurethane. Cut the new door sill to size and bevel the outer edge.

If desired protect and liven up a sill with a metal sill cover which wraps around the front of the sill. Cut it with a hacksaw. If it prevents the door from closing comfortably you can plane down the door or lower the threshold. Fit the new door sill in place under the door frame.

Remove the old door sill from beneath the door frame. Caulk around the outside of the door sill. Then test the threshold for fit. Paint or stain the new door sill.

2 mix a moderate amount of liquid detergent with 1 quart of water in a. Position the old door sill on the new sill and trace around it. If it fits apply liquid nails glue to the concrete and attach the threshold. Install a cover alone or purchase a cover and sill combination.
